What Rotate PDF Changes When It Saves
What Rotate PDF does is change the orientation of pages. The output contains every page in the same order.
Page content
Pages are not converted wholesale into images; text that is selectable in the source is not turned into a picture by this operation. Scans that contain only images do not gain OCR either.
Document structures
The save path applies rotation to the existing document. Flattening forms, removing links or deleting bookmarks are not among the things this tool does. In the examples tested, form values and their editability, internal and external links, bookmarks and various document structures were preserved.
Those checks are not a guarantee that every feature of every PDF will be preserved in full.
Signed documents
When a signed or certified document is opened, a warning is shown. Do not put the rotated output in place of the signed original; keep the original file.
Where this version stops
The current version does not open encrypted PDFs. Deskewing by small angles, mirroring, automatic orientation detection and page reordering are also out of scope. Turns are made in 90° steps.
The PDF is processed on your device. Whether a large document can be processed depends on your device’s resources; no single file size limit is promised for every device.
